Bioluminescence of a Headlight Beetle (Pyrophorus sp.) walkong across the forest floor at night, captured with a long exposure. This species of click beetle has two glowing regions on its thorax, producing a strong green light at night. Whilst trundling through the leaf litter on the rainforest floor, its surroundings were lit with an eerie glow. Lowland rainforest, Northern Costa Rica. April.
